SAP Personal Inventory Management System
Atlin was the program and tranformation delivery partner for the successful national implementation of the Australian Defence Force's (ADF) electronic Personal Inventory Management System (PIMS) project into Joint Logistics Command. PIMS was a major deliverable of Defence’s Clothing Rationalisation and Transformation Program and a significant transformation for the management and application of ADF member entitlements. Atlin's role in the PIMS project began at its inception with the development of a feasibility study (2012) and continued throughout the project lifecycle. Atlin's project management remit covered all facets of the realisation of the business benefits on behalf of Defence including: concept development, requirements determination and refinement, solution design, vendor selection, build, test and system go-live phases, data conversion, management of the business integration of the new capability and management of the project rollout.
Results
Atlin played a key role in the successful national rollout of the fit-for-purpose online clothing solution for the ADF that replaced the previous paper based solution with an electronic clothing record for all permanent and reserve uniformed staff. The project delivered vastly improved entitlement management, online ordering capability and enabled a reduced clothing footprint for Defence’s Joint Logistics Command.
