ATLIN understands from working with our judicial customers across Australia that our laws and systems vary significantly between States, Territories and are even quite unique within jurisdictions.
ATLIN is currently engaged providing Organisational Change Support (OCS) Services for the Case Management System (CMS) Project. This is a joint three-year initiative between the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria (MCV) and the Children’s Court of Victoria (ChCV); supported by Courts Services Victoria (CSV). The CMS Project contributes to the Courts’ response to a number of the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Family Violence. In particular, strengthen the ability to capture and share appropriate information in individual cases of family violence across courts and key external partners which will bring enhanced access to justice for all Victorians.
The CMS scope is significant in that it covers 1,200 plus employees and judicial officers across fifty-one locations and multiple jurisdictions that collectively administer over one million case transactions every year. The new CMS will streamline data capturing, business processes and the exchange of information between court staff and external parties such as Victoria Police, the Department of Justice, and Corrections Victoria. On completion of the project in 2022, the new CMS is expected to provide enhanced community safety, more efficient court processes and management.
During the initial Mobilisation and Discovery phase, our team of Organisational Change specialists worked in collaboration with key stakeholders and business representatives to understand the unique nature and sensitivities of the courts business and cultures. As a result, we were able to tailor the project’s Change Framework and Approach specifically for the courts’ environment and conditions.
